Syrus Rayhan, MD

 

Dr. Syrus Rayhan has been practicing dermatology in Orange County for over 25 years. He is board certified in Dermatology and board certified in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Rayhan served as an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California-Irvine for over 25 years and was among the first dermatologists to teach laser courses at the renowned Beckman Laser Institute at UC-Irvine. He has also contributed as an author in multiple textbooks on laser treatments in dermatology. Dr. Rayhan offers a complete range of dermatologic care at his office including medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery for the removal of skin cancers and cosmetic dermatology including Botox and fillers.

Dr. Rayhan is Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology​.

​Dr. David Rayhan is board certified in Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Rayhan earned his bachelor of science degree in Biological Sciences with honors from the University of California-Irvine. He then earned his M.D. from the University of California-Irvine School of Medicine. While at UC-Irvine Dr. Rayhan conducted research on the prevention of skin damage due to radiation treatments for cancer and also in laser treatment of vascular skin lesions. His work was published in the journal Dermatologic Surgery.

Following medical school Dr. Rayhan completed his internship at the University of Nevada School of Medicine and the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, the state's only burn center, center for limb and finger reattachment, center for organ transplantation, and the state's only level one trauma center. Following internship, Dr. Rayhan completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. There he worked with his chairman Dr. Michael Kolodney MD PhD, the inventor of Kybella the world's only FDA approved drug for reduction of fat under the chin. Dr. Rayhan also conducted the first study that sequenced and analyzed the genome of the most common form of skin cancer called basal cell carcinoma. His findings were published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

 

After completing his research, Dr. Rayhan completed his residency in dermatology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he also served as Chief Resident. While serving as Chief Resident Dr. Rayhan was awarded a grant from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery to perform a preceptorship in cosmetic dermatology with Dr. Vic Narurkar at the Bay Area Laser Institute in San Francisco. During his residency Dr. Rayhan also trained at the renowned cancer center at City of Hope National Medical Center and gained experience in pediatric dermatology working at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. In addition, Dr. Rayhan was awarded a prize for Top Presentation at the annual Cosmetic Surgery Forum in Las Vegas, Nevada. His findings were published in the journal SKINmed.

Kim Tang, MD

Dr. Kim Tang is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. She brings her adept surgical skills to our practice. Dr. Tang obtained her M.D. and completed her dermatology residency at the University of California-Irvine. Dr. Tang performs dermatologic surgery including Mohs Micrographic Surgery for the precise removal and reconstruction of skin cancer at our office. Dr. Tang also offers a full spectrum of cosmetic dermatology services including Botox and fillers.

Valentina Gonzalez, MSPA, PA-C

 

Valentina is originally from Texas and earned bachelors degrees in Psychology and Corporate Communications with honors from the University of Houston. She then completed her masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Scienes. She speaks Spanish, French, and Bahasa Indonesian. 

 

Valentina provides dermatology care, performs laser hair removal, Intense Pulse Light IPL-Photofacials for red & brown spots, SkinPen Microneedling for acne scars & wrinkles, and microdermabrasion for skin rejuvenation and smoother make up application at our practice.
